The minimum bid is $2 million for a property with three anchor stores and more than 50 retailers, a seven-screen movie theater and a food court.
The Daily Gazette of Schenectady reports (http://bit.ly/1dZ3hcG ) that the mall is being sold by Santa Monica-based Macerich Company.
Macerich bought Rotterdam Square eight years ago when it acquired its Rochester-based parent company, Wilmorite. The $2.3 billion acquisition included 11 regional malls and two open-air shopping centers.
The mall, just off Interstate 890, has three main anchor stores - Kmart, Sears and Macy's.
