Frame up for energy-efficient church in Kinderhook
KINDERHOOK, NY - Today at noon a frame-raising celebration for the new Seventh-day Adventist church building was held in Kinderhook. This church is on track to be the first certified passive house church in the country, which will make it the most energy-efficient church in the US.
The congregation's pastor, Anton Kapusi, spoke as did the architect of the building, Dennis Wedlick of BarlisWedlick Architects. Congressman Chris Gibson was an honored guest and he also spoke.
After the remarks, the final piece of the frame was driven in with wooden pegs in front of the gathered guests of congregants and local officials.
