GE to meet with EPA regarding PCB cleanup progress

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The community is expecting to learn more about General Electric's cleanup project in the Hudson River Thursday.

For the first time in months, GE officials are expected to give an update on the removal of PCB chemicals alongside the Environmental Protection Agency at a community meeting in Saratoga Springs.

GE is reponsible for dumping PCB chemicals into the Hudson River.

The project to removed the chemicals is ahead of schedule, which means environmental groups are expected to ask GE to use their extra time to address other polluted areas.
