Victims of Northway crash to be remembered one year later

Posted:

SHENENDEHOWA, N.Y. - Sunday marked a somber date to remember.

One year ago on December 1, Christopher Stewart and Deanna Rivers, both 17, were killed in a crash on the Northway in Halfmoon.

Also in the car were Shen's Matt Hardy and Shaker High School's Bailey Wind. Both survived, but they were badly injured.

On Thursday, Dennis Drue, the 24-year-old who pleaded guilty to Vehicular Homicide for causing the crash is scheduled to be sentenced to time in State Prison.

However, on Tuesday, both Shaker and Shenendehowa will pause to remember the victims.
