UPDATE: Due to weather conditions and a broken down County truck, the tree cutting will be postponed.
TROY, N.Y. – The official Christmas tree for the city of Troy will be cut down Tuesday morning.
The tree will be cut from the yard of William and Mary Ellen Fisher on Ballina Street in Troy.
Once the tree has been cut down, it will be transported to Riverfront Park where it will stay for the holiday season. The Department of Public Works will then start the process of stringing the lights on the tree.
