Albany, N. Y. - Volunteers are busy getting ready for the annual Equinox Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner.
Cooking, peeling, slicing and chopping up of all of the fixings started at the Empire State Plaza Sunday morning. This year marks the 44th annual Equinox Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner which serves thousands of Capital Region residents each year.
The dinner is made possible with the help of volunteers as well as monetary and food donations from various people and groups around the area.
Preparations will continue through Wednesday.
The meals, both eat-in and take-out, will be served Thanksgiving day at the First Presbyterian Church in Albany at 1pm. Leftovers from the meal will be distributed to area food pantries on Friday.
