ALBANY, N.Y. An Albany man entered a guilty plea to manslaughter charges in county court Friday.

Leonard Spence, 26, of Albany, pleaded guilty to one felony count of Manslaughter in Albany County Court.

On April 18, 2013 in the area of Central Avenue and King Avenue in the City of Albany, authorities say Spence shot Darzee Reid. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

Spence fled the area and was located by U.S. Marshals on the Kentucky, Tennessee border several weeks later.

He faces up to 21 years in State Prison when sentenced on January 10, 2014.
