State Police recover stolen vehicle during traffic stop

COEYMANS, N.Y. – State Police have recovered a stolen vehicle after a highway traffic stop in the Town of Coeymans.
On Tuesday at about 10:12 p.m., State Police patrolling I-87 observed a grey Nissan Altima failing to keep right. After pulling the vehicle over and running the plates, Troopers discovered that the Altima was reported stolen.
The driver, Alberto J. Calderon, 29, of Brooklyn, and passenger Rakeim K. Scarlett, 31, of Troy, were arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third-degree.
They were processed and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
