Amsterdam teens arrested, accused of shoplifting


AMSTERDAM, N.Y. – Two Amsterdam teens have been arrested after allegedly shoplifting from a local Walmart.

The New York State Police in Fonda arrested and charged Brittanie L. Ingalls, 17, and Roxann M. Billa, 18, with Petit Larceny on Wednesday. 

The two were at an Amsterdam Walmart when they were observed putting items totaling $82.78 in their hand bags.

Both Ingalls and Billa were detained by loss prevention until troopers arrived. The two were placed in custody and transported back to the State Police Station in Fonda and processed without incident.

They were released on tickets and are to appear in the Town of Amsterdam Court on November 26 at 6:00 p.m.
