QUEENSBURY, N.Y. -- The Warren County Sheriff's office has arrested a 26-year-old woman after she allegedly forged checks.

Jennica A. Vance, of Gansevoort, was charged with felony Grand Larceny. According to police, Vance was employed as an account clerk at Glens Falls OBGYN offices, located at 28 South Western Avenue, in the Town of Queensbury.

During April, 2013 and continuing until October, 2013, Vance wrote numerous unauthorized checks from a business account and forged the name of a doctor within the practice on the check to complete the transaction.

As a result of her actions, Vance is allegedly responsible for stealing $57,853.40 from the practice.

The investigation remains ongoing and police believe Vance may be responsible for the theft of additional funds from the practice.

Vance was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. She is due to re-appear in Queensbury Court on Monday, November 25 at 10:00 AM.
