Man arrested in connection to Schenectady shooting


SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charges with menacing and reckless endangerment after allegedly firing a gun in the city.

On Monday, November 18, Schenectady Police responded to the 1700 block of Van Vranken Ave for multiple calls reporting shots fired.  There were not any victims of gunshot wounds. 

David L. Ramos, 20, was arrested and charged with felony Reckless Endangerment, and misdemeanor Menacing.

It is alleged that while in the 1700 block of Van Vranken Avenue, Ramos fired several shots toward a residence which contained multiple occupants. No injuries were reported.

Ramos is currently being held at the City lockup awaiting his arraignment.  No further details will be released at this time.
