MAYFIELD – Parents who have questions on the proposed merger between the Mayfield and Northville school districts will have their chance to get them answered in person on Tuesday.
That night, Mayfield's superintendent, Dr. Joseph Natale, will give a presentation on the proposal in the junior/senior high school library.
Voters in the towns will go to the polls to either approve or fail the merger on January 7.
A Facebook page set up to explain what would happen if the merger is approved, reports a combined Mayfield/Northville district would retain all programs and sports teams and would not lengthen school bus rides.
The meeting to learn more about the proposal is at 7:30 p.m. inside the Mayfield Junior/Senior High School library. The district says it will also be streamed live on its website. Parents will be able to submit questions from home, using the stream.
Dr. Natale will present the proposal again at the Mayfield town board meeting on November 21. That meeting will not be live-streamed.
