Johnstown fire injures two people


Johnstown, N.Y - Fire destroyed an apartment in a multi-family house on East Main street this morning.

The fire started just after 5am in an apartment at 216 East main street. When fire crews arrived, there was a heavy fire condition in the apartment on the second floor.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put the fire out. The Fire Chief says two people in the apartment were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Four people total were displaced from the multi-family home, but the officials say the building can be saved.
