Police: Bloods gang member arrested after driving without a valid license
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – Gloversville Police say they have arrested a member of the Bloods street gang.
On Thursday, police officers saw Anthony "Smurf" Smith, 31, driving a rental vehicle in Gloversville.
As officer's stopped the vehicle, they verified that Smith's license was not valid. Smith and his passenger were detained. After further investigation, the passenger was released and Smith was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, a misdemeanor.
Police officer's then discovered Smith was on Parole for Criminal Possession of a Weapon and he is a member of the Bloods street gang.
The man was arraign in city court and remanded to the Fulton County Correction Facility where he is being held on Parole Violation and pending charges.
