Troy police say online threat against school was 'isolated'

TROY, N.Y. - The Troy Police Department says a 17-year-old male at School 12 made threatening comments toward the school online on Wednesday, saying he would cause "big problems."

The comments were viewed by a fellow female student who called police.

Police say officers went to the home, and the dad said he knew of the incident and the teen was apparently angry about another male student grabbing his girlfriend's behind.

Police determined it was an isolated incident and they turned the investigation over to the school district. The principal is now handling the situation.
