Service area employee accused of stealing electronics from Best Buy vending machine


GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – State Police have arrested a man accused of stealing electronics from a vending machine.

According to authorities, Troopers received the report of a damaged vending machine at the Guilderland Service area on I-90 on Wednesday around 3:15 a.m.

Troopers discovered the damaged vending machine held very expensive electronics from Best Buy such as iPads, cameras and cell phone chargers.

Following a review of surveillance footage, a man was depicted removing items from the machine.  The employees of the service area were about to identify the man as a co-worker.

Dominick Lisi, 48, was questioned at his Schenectady home. According to State Police, Lisi cooperated and turned over the stolen goods.

The man was arrested and processed at State Police in Albany. He has been charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree, both misdemeanors.

Lisi was released on an appearance ticket and he will be back in Town of Guilderland Court on November 14, 2013.
