State Police: Father threw Lye into his son's face causing chemical burns
MOREAU, N.Y. – A father has been arrested after allegedly throwing a chemical in the face of his adult son.
New York State Police say they arrested William Creech, 52, following a domestic incident on Thursday. The Moreau man is accused of throwing the chemical Lye in his son's face, threatened him with a knife, and then tried to strike him with his vehicle.
Creech was located after he sought medical attention for chemical burns he caused to himself during the altercation with his son, says police.
The victim has suffered chemical burn injuries to his face, neck and scalp.
According to authorities, Creech has been charged with felony Assault in the 2nd Degree, felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and misdemeanors Menacing the 2nd Degree, and Reckless Endangerment.
He was arraigned in the Town of Moreau Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $175,000 cash bail or $400,000 bond.
