Winner of Takis Photo Contest Skydived into Exclusive Party in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A party that started at 8,000 feet high and thousands on-ground looking up into the sky, ended as the most intense party on earth, especially for MaryJo Villar from Houston who jumped off the Takis helicopter and skydived into the by-invitation-only event. Villar won the Takis Airdrop Face the Intensity photo contest by submitting a picture of her first-ever skydiving jump on the 2-million-fan Takis USA Facebook page.

The Takis Airdrop party took place on October 20 at the Fairplex in Pomona with the grand entrance by contest winner MaryJo Villar jumping off the Takis helicopter, aerial performance by pilots of the World Wingsuit League, and entertainment by DJ Deorro with sets by Crespo and Landis.
For the Airdrop promotion, Takis partnered with professional skateboarder and four-time Summer X Games Gold medal winner Paul Rodriguez. Also known as P-Rod, Rodriguez is known by his fans for his intensity, creativity and versatility on the skateboard. "I have never seen a skydive show like this in person, it was awesome," said P-Rod. "Takis put together a very cool party."
In addition to the tandem skydiving jump, Villar received celebrity treatment with a trip for two to Los Angeles and accommodations and all expenses paid. Thousands of adoring fans of the intense flavor of Takis Fuego, had an exhilarating experience at the Airdrop party or online via social media. Hashtags #TakisAirdrop and #FacetheIntensity trended on social media during the festivities.
