GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – An investigation has led to the arrest of a woman who allegedly stole money from the Fulton County United Soccer Club (FUSC) during a five year time frame.

Gloversville Police say they have arrested Sandra Yost, 45, of West Bush Road on Wednesday morning. She has been charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, a felony.

According to authorities, an investigation revealed that from January 2007 to December 2011, Yost allegedly stole in excess of $13,000 from the FUSC.

Yost was the Treasurer of the Club during the five years police say she stole from the FUSC.

Yost is accused of spending the club's money for personal use and fraudulently issuing numerous checks to family members during her tenure as treasurer.

FUSC is an organization which helps to teach children about soccer and aim to provide a family-oriented environment for participants. The current Board of of the club stated "We wish to reassure parents in the community that the Fulton United Soccer Club remains an extraordinarily active and involved community partner."

Police say the investigation does continue and more charges are possible.

Yost has been arraigned in Gloversville City Court.

The investigation was a joint effort between the Gloversville Police Department, the NYS Police Financial Crimes Unit and the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.
