WILTON, N.Y. – A fire broke out at the Wilton branch of the YMCA temporarily closing the facilities.
A call came in for the fire around 10 p.m. Tuesday. There was no damage to the outside of the building, but the extent of the damage on the inside is still unclear.
The fire started in the rear of the building in a storage area near the indoor tennis courts.
No one was inside the gym at the time of the fire.
Fire crews worked throughout the night and into the early morning to make sure the fire was under control.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
