SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – One man has been arrested in Saratoga Springs after a report of shots fired.
Saratoga Springs Police say they responded to the area of Phila Street around 1:15 a.m. Thursday for the report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, witnesses told police that Justin Eistertz, 24, exited his home and pointed a rifle at several people before allegedly firing a shot.
Eistertz then entered his residence with the rifle.
Officers surrounded the home but the man refused to come out. Police say they were able to talk with a female occupant of the home who then let authorities enter the home. Eistertz was then taken into custody without incident.
The weapon was secured and a spent shell casing was found in the area.
The man was taken to the police department and charged with Discharge of a Firearm within 500 feet Dwelling/Business, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree.
There were no injuries as a result of the weapon being discharged.
