Saratoga man arrested for allegedly firing rifle into a group of people

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – One man has been arrested in Saratoga Springs after a report of shots fired.

Saratoga Springs Police say they responded to the area of Phila Street around 1:15 a.m. Thursday for the report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, witnesses told police that Justin Eistertz, 24, exited his home and pointed a rifle at several people before allegedly firing a shot.

Eistertz then entered his residence with the rifle.

Officers surrounded the home but the man refused to come out.  Police say they were able to talk with a female occupant of the home who then let authorities enter the home.  Eistertz was then taken into custody without incident.
