"Protecting the Paws in Blue" raises funds for K-9 protective vests


SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A community event to benefit local police dogs was held in Saratoga Springs on Sunday.

"Protecting the Paws in Blue" is a fundraiser so police department can afford bullet and stab protective vests for local K-9 law enforcement dogs.

The event is free to the public from 10am – 4pm at the Warming Hut Site in the Saratoga Springs State Park.

Vested Interest in K9s Inc. hosted the community event.  They are a non-profit organization located in Massachusetts which is dedicated to providing the newest protective vest for K-9s.

Each vest costs $950 which is why community events are needed to help fund the police departments so they can protect their four-legged police officers.
