ALBANY -- A teenager with autism is missing, and authorities believe he may be in Albany.

A statewide alert for 16-year old Liam Rooney was issued shortly before midnight Saturday.

According to the alert, Rooney was last seen Friday at the bus terminal in Albany. He was supposed to board a bus to Port Authority in New York City, but he was not on board.

It's not known if he got on the wrong bus to another part of the state or is still in Albany.

Rooney is a white male, described as 5'06" and about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities say he was last seen wearing a black, fleece jacket, along with brown khaki pants, a green polo shirt, and black and red sneakers.

The alert also says Rooney has scars on both of his hands.

If you see him, please contact your local police.
