ALBANY, N.Y. -- There won't be an empty pew at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany this Sunday as a special mass will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bishop Howard Hubbard's ordination to the priesthood.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Cardinal Edward Egan, and 10 other bishops from across the state will be among the celebrants.
Other invited guests include government, business, and community leaders, and many of Bishop Hubbard's relatives and friends.
Not only is the bishop celebrating 50 years as a priest, but at the end of the month he will turn 75, the mandatory age for submitting his resignation.
NEWS10 ABC will be sitting down with Bishop Hubbard to talk about his years at the diocese, as a priest, and what he sees for the future of the Catholic Church. That report will air on October 31st.
