Troy man found with 9.94 pounds of marijuana after an investigation


ROTTERDAM, N.Y. – A Troy man was arrested in Rotterdam after police discovered he had 9.94 pounds of marijuana on him.

According to police, Joseph Morgalis, 32, was arrested on Thursday after he was pulled over on Aster Street.  Police say they were responding to an investigation along with the DEA and United States Postal Inspectors.

As Morgalis was pulled over, officers say they found 9.94 pounds of "high grade" marijuana which was an estimated street value of $35,000.

Morgalis was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd Degree, a felony.

He was sent to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or bond.

Authorities say an investigation continues.
