FORT EDWARD, N.Y. – The Washington County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested two people after an investigation by the county's Department of Social Services.

According to authorities, David Reynolds, 48, is charged with Filing a False Statement.  Marie Pratt, 56, has been charged with felony Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree.

Reynolds is accused of completing and filing sale paperwork with the Department of Social Services.  Both Reynolds and Pratt allegedly submitted paperwork to the department which misrepresented the couple's living arrangements.

As a result of the false information, Pratt received $1,602 in benefits she was not entitled to.

Both were issued appearance tickets and will be in Fort Edward Town Court at a later date.
