Saratoga Co. Sheriff’s office investigating armed robberies in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occured at the Dunkin Donuts shop in Clifton Park on Tuesday.
According to police, the robbery occurred at about 7:00 p.m. on October 15th at the store off of Exit 8 of the Northway on Crescent Road in the Town of Clifton Park. A single male suspect walked into the Dunkin Donuts, brandished a handgun and demanded the money from a register.
Approximately 15 minutes earlier, an attempted armed robbery was reported to have occurred at the Friendly's Restaurant on State Route 146 in Clifton Park. New York State Police are investigating the incident that occurred at the Friendly's.
The suspect in both incidents is described as a white male, in his twenties or early thirties, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build and a long thin face. The suspect was wearing a light gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a design or lettering on the front and designer dark blue jeans with multiple horizontal rips down the front of both legs.
