Schenectady police warn residents of recent burglary spree

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a series of three burglaries that occurred between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Police say the burglaries occurred between the Stockade area and Wendell Avenue on the north side of the city.  All three residences were occupied at the time the incidents, and property was taken from each one.

Entry was gained to each residence by the suspect(s) removing a screen and entering through that window. Each home has been processed by the Schenectady Police Department and all three incidents are currently under investigation.

The Schenectady Police Department would like to stress to the public to always keep their doors and windows to their residences locked whenever possible.

Anyone with any information regarding these incidents are asked to call the Schenectady Police Department's TIPS line at 518-788-6566.
