ALBANY, N.Y. – The man who admitted to sexually abusing a young boy in the bathroom at the New York State Museum was sentenced on Wednesday.
Edward Tubbs, 22, pleaded guilty to one count of Sexual Abuse in August. On Wednesday, Tubbs was sentenced to four years in State Prison followed by 10 years of Post Release Supervision. He will also have to register as a Sexual Offender after he is released from Prison.
On June 4, Tubbs was arrested at the NYS Museum after a boy under the age of 7 was sexually abused in a bathroom. The boy's mother was standing outside of the bathroom at the time of the incident.
Tubbs also pleded guilty in Troy City Court to Forcible Touching, a misdemeanor. He will be sentenced to a year in jail for that offense.
