Police: Man abandoned cats in Gloversville apartment after moving

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – A Gloversville man has been arrested after police say he abandoned several cats after moving from his apartment.

Gloversville Police say they executed an arrested warrant for Jeremy Stanton, 27, on Tuesday for Abandonment of Animals and Cruelty of Animals. 

After an investigation, it was determined that Stanton had abandoned five cats after moving from his apartment at 112 Washington Street on August 13th. Police say the cats were left in the apartment for at least one week.

Stranton has been charged he was arraigned on Tuesday and send to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on bail.
