Police: Man apprehended after stealing boots from Target, fighting with employee
GLENVILLE, N.Y. – Police say they have arrested a man who
allegedly stole from a Target store.
Glenville Police investigated a reported robbery at the
Target on Saratoga Road. The investigation
led to the arrest of Jeremy Bacon, 34, of Delanson.
Bacon is accused of stealing a pair of hiking boots from the
store. Target employees stopped the man
as he tried to leave the store wearing the boots. According to authorities,
Bacon then struck an employee with a shopping bag, then attempted to strike the
same person with a closed fist.
A struggle ensued but Bacon was able to flee the area. He
was apprehended in Scotia while heading south on Route 50.
Bacon has been charged with Robbery in the 3rd
Degree, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the
7th Degree. He has been processed and arraign in town court. He was
then sent to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bond.
