ALBANY, N.Y. – Three men from New York City were arrested after speeding in a workzone on Thursday.
State Police say they were patrolling on I-90 when they witnessed a black Volkswagen was speeding in a construction zone. As the Trooper approached the vehicle, he could smell marijuana.
More Troopers arrived to the scene in order to interview all three subjects separately.
Curtis Henry, 34, of Manhattan, Isaiah Ledgister, 23, and Travis Stewart, 24, both of the Bronx, were taken to the State Police station for more questioning. During this time authorities found Henry had a warrant for his arrested out of Oneida, NY. He was turned over to the Oneida Police Department.
Ledgister and Stewart were detained for giving false names to police. After Troopers found the true identity of the men, they discovered Stewart was in possession of 30 grams of crack cocaine and 11 grams of MDMA. Ledgister was found with 29 grams of marijuana and he is also a Fugitive from Justice. According to State Police, he is a fugitive by way of a probation warrant out of Bergan County, NJ. This stemmed from a forgery charge.
Stewart has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd and 3rd Degree and False Personation. He also had an NYPD Bench Warrant which will be answered after his current charges.
Ledgitser has been charged with Fugitive of Justice, Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th Degree and False Personation.
