ALBANY, N.Y. – The grand opening of Habitat for Humanity's ReStore in the Capital District was Saturday.
The ribbon cutting ceremony began at 9:30 a.m. Town Supervisor Paula Mahan was in attendance with the Habitat staff and volunteers.
The first 100 customers of ReStore received a small gift with their purchase. Also, throughout the opening day customers could enter to win a gift basket from Bonefish Grill, a new restaurant.
The Habitat ReStore sells new and gently used building materials, appliances, furniture, tools and other products for home improvement at a low cost. All items have been donated by the local businesses, organizations and residents.
The profits from Habitat ReStore go to fund Habitat for Humanity's mission.
