SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Saratoga Springs Police Department is investigating the death of a mother and son in an apparent domestic dispute near the Bayshore's Tropic Hut restaurant on Saratoga Lake.

During a press conference held Friday at the Saratoga Lake Boat Launch, police say the bodies of a male and female, believed to be a mother and son, were found in a mobile home near the Route 9P bar after a concerned family friend called to say they had not heard from the pair in days.

Police say they found the dead bodies around 1 p.m. Friday after a phone call reporting two individuals who appeared to be deceased.

The bodies have been identified as Patricia Ambrozak, 75, and John Ambrozak, 47.

Investigators say they found a gun at the scene; though details of the domestic dispute are still unclear. The weapon was secured.  Investigators believe no one else was involved in this incident.

The bodies have been removed from the scene and autopsies will be conducted on Saturday at Albany Medical Center.

Police investigators remain on scene as they continue to investigate.

NEWS10 ABC will be back on the scene on Saturday. Check back to NEWS10.com for updates.
