Dollar General larceny complaint leads to drug arrest


GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – A larceny complaint Gloversville Police responded to on Thursday led to a drug related arrest.

According to authorities, they responded to the call at 370 North Main Street, Dollar General on Thursday.  During the investigation officers found, Rosemarie Ross, 25, allegedly tried to steal items from the store.

Police say Ross was with Michael McDonald, 28, who was detained and searched during the investigation.  During the search, officers seized 3.7 grams of cocaine from McDonald. 

Ross was charged with petit larceny and was released on an appearance ticket.

McDonald was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree.  He was also wanted by Gloversville City Court on a bench warrant for failure to complete conditional discharge.

He has been arraigned and was sent to jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
