ALBANY, N.Y. – An Albany man has pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Strangulation, says District Attorney David Soares.

Shawn Moore, 40, was a passenger in a vehicle when he began to hit the victim in her face and head.  Moore then put the car into park and continued to hit the woman.  Soares says the woman was strangled and lost consciousness.

Moore then exited the car with the victim and continued to hit her.  Albany Police witnessed the incident as they were driving by.  Moore was immediately arrested.

He will be sentenced on November 14 and faces 2 to 4 years in State Prison.
