Albany man pleads guilty to hitting and strangling woman
ALBANY, N.Y. – An Albany man has pleaded
guilty to one count of Attempted Strangulation, says District Attorney David
Shawn Moore, 40, was a passenger in
a vehicle when he began to hit the victim in her face and head. Moore then put the car into park and
continued to hit the woman. Soares says
the woman was strangled and lost consciousness.
Moore then exited the car with the
victim and continued to hit her. Albany
Police witnessed the incident as they were driving by. Moore was immediately arrested.
He will be sentenced on November 14
and faces 2 to 4 years in State Prison.
