EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – A 16-year-old has been arrested after leading police on chase which ended in a crash.

East Greenbush Police Officers say the teen was clocked speeding in a Troy Road construction zone around 3 a.m. on September 27.  Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver did not stop and continued to speed away.

However, Troy Police Officers were ready to slow down the vehicle, which ended up crashing on Broadway in Rensselaer.

The driver, whose name is not being released due to his age, then ran from the car, according to authorities.  That is when officers Tazered the teen who was attempting to get away.

The teen was arraigned on charged of Possession of Stolen Property, SWI, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Flight from Police plus more.
