AMSTERDAM, N.Y. – A Montgomery County man was arrested Saturday and faces 25 charges.
The Sheriff's Investigators say they arrested Joseph Chirico, 40, after he was found in a home in Fulton County.
According to authorities, Chirico was wanted on 15 active arrested warrants from Amsterdam for Petit Larceny and Criminal Trespass. These warrants stem from complaints from the Amsterdam Price Chopper where Chirico allegedly committed a number of larcenies over the course of several months.
Sheriff's Investigators were able to "ping" Chirico's phone which led them to 363 Smith Road in the Town of Perth.
As investigators arrived, the vehicle Chirico allegedly used to commit the crimes was at the residence.
The man was taken into custody without incident. However, another man, Christopher Clark, was also at the residence and authorities found he had active warrants from Gloversville. He was also arrested and turned over to Gloversville Police.
Chirico was processed and arraigned in town court. He was then sent to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail.
