Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that the funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture will go to 11 research projects, including eight at the Ivy League school in Ithaca.
2 of the other projects are being conducted by Cornell Cooperative Extension in Essex and Suffolk counties, while the third is being done by the state office of the American Farmland Trust in Saratoga Springs.
The funding includes more than $150,000 to support New York's wine and grape industry.
