GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – On September 21, one man was arrested after a brief car chase and foot pursuit with police.
According to Gloversville PD, an officer stopped a vehicle on Grove Street around 5:00 a.m. after witnessing erratic driving.
As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver sped off. The officer then followed the vechile until it came to a stop in front of 83 Third Avenue.
Police say, the driver and two occupants fled on foot. During the pursuit, the officer says he witnessed Kevin Fitch, 24, drop several bundles of heroin as he attempted to climb a fence.
Fitch was apprehended after a brief struggle and taken into custody. They say he is also known by the nicknames "Kyle" and "Kraze."
According to authorities, more than $3,000 and marijuana was found at the scene. Fitch was also intoxicated during the incident.
He has been charged with DWI, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and UPM. There was also a warrant for Fitch from Schenectady.
He was arraigned and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $25,000 cash bail.
Police say more charges are pending against Fitch and the male and female occupants of the car who fled the scene.
