Police ask for help identifying 3 in local credit union schemes

COLONIE, N.Y. - The Colonie Police Department is attempting to identify three suspects involved in multiple credit union loan schemes in Colonie and Niskayuna.
Police say the three suspects utilized counterfeit New York State driver's licenses, forged pay stubs, and stolen personal identification information to apply for loans. The scheme has resulted in the larceny of $15,000 on September 17th from CAP COM Federal Credit Union in Latham.
The scheme was also allegedly attempted but was unsuccessful at the CAP COM Federal Credit Union branches in Colonie and in Niskayuna on September 19th and 24th.
Police say the suspects in the Colonie cases are females and the suspect in the Niskayuna case is a male. Anyone that recognizes the suspects are asked to call the Colonie Police Department at 783-2744.
The suspects, when identified, could face felony charges of Grand Larceny, Attempted Grand Larceny, Identity Theft, and Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument.
