CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation says the same young bull moose that was seen near Clifton Park on Sunday was spotted Monday on Crescent Road at Exit 8.
The moose was reported Sunday evening near the northbound exit 9 of the Northway, near Route 146 in the town of Halfmoon. DEC Environmental Conservation Police herded the moose into a wooded area so that it would not pose any harm to people, property or itself.
On Monday, the same moose was seen at the Northway Golf Driving Range on the Crescent Road at Exit 8 of the Northway. The moose is now in the nearby woods.
DEC Conservation Police will be watching to once again ensure that it does not pose harm to people, property or itself.
On Tuesday, DEC Wildlife staff says they will attempt to immobilize the moose and transport it to a site in the Adirondacks for release.
Over the past few days, NEWS10 ABC has heard reports of a moose in the Halfmoon-area. There is no word if this is the same moose.
