SCHOHARIE, N.Y. – On Friday, September 27, a Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter will perform to benefit SALT.
Tom Chapin, the young brother of musician Harry Chapin, and the son of jazz drummer Jim Chapin, will be at the Schoharie Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Schoharie Friday for a concert and dinner to benefit SALT.
Chapin has 23 albums and three Grammy awards. He has also acted on Broadway and worked in films, television and on radio.
From 5p.m. to 6:30p.m. there will be a lasagna dinner with salad and Italian desserts at the church before the concert begins at 7pm.
SALT is the Schoharie Area Long Term, an organization for disaster recovery from the flooding brought on from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
