McDonald's bring game day excitement to football and chicken wing fans with Mighty Wings promotion
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for football season, wing lovers in the Greater Philadelphia Region can enjoy one of their favorite game day foods with McDonald's new Mighty Wings. Available for a limited time only from mid-September through mid-November, while supplies last, Mighty Wings are bone-in, crispy chicken wings that deliver a spicy kick with every bite.
"Chicken wings are one of the most commonly ordered items at sit-down restaurants while watching sports," said John Durante, President, McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region Owner/Operator Association. "By adding Mighty Wings to our menu this fall, we want to bring the popularity and fun of chicken wings to customers looking for any reason to order them – be it during game day or on-the-go."
About Mighty Wings
Mighty Wings were inspired by larger size chicken wings from McDonald's Hong Kong where customers enjoyed the big, bold flavor. The new tender, meaty bone-in chicken wings are sourced from McDonald's trusted poultry suppliers and served in drummettes and wingettes. For a customized flavor experience, guests can pair their wings with one of nine sauces,* ranging from sweet to tangy to bold.
Mighty Wings are available in three portion sizes, three piece, five piece and ten piece to fit a variety of eating preferences. For more information about Mighty Wings promotion, visit www.McDonalds.com.
