WATERLOO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say garbage that exploded inside a trash-hauling truck has led to the drug-related arrests of a central New York couple.
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office tells WSTM-TV in Syracuse that the village of Waterloo's Department of Public Works reported that garbage collected outside a home had exploded in the back of one of the department's trucks.
Deputies say they searched the home of the couple living at that address and found numerous items associated with the making of methamphetamine. Police say three children also lived in the home.
Official say a 37-year-old man and his 32-year-old wife were both charged with unlawful manufacture of meth and unlawfully dealing with a child.
Both are being held in the county jail.
