SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A Clifton Park man has been
indicted by a Grand Jury for allegedly menacing a New York State Police
Douglas Stewart III, 43, was indicted on One Count of Menacing
a Police Officer and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Stewart is accused of intentionally causing a police officer
to fear physical injury or death by displaying a rifle while the officer was on
duty. The officer shot Stewart because he felt threatened after Stewart was told to drop his weapon.
