Albany Police investigating 10th shooting since August

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Albany Police Department is investigating the 10th shooting incident in the city since the beginning of August.

Police say early Sunday morning officers found a man who had been shot on Second Street. They say the man told them he was sitting in his car when a person came up and opened fire.

That man is in stable condition at Albany medical Center as the investigation continues.

And while police are still looking for the shooters in another incident on Saturday-- two people have been arrested.

Authorities have charged both 18-year old Akiva Vickers and 23-year old Hector Balls with weapon possession.

According to police, they were in the car that dropped off two men who were shot in front of the Port Tavern on South Pearl.
