Warren County Sheriff's to hold National Child Passenger Safety Week event

WARRENSBURG, N.Y. –September 15-21 is National Child Passenger Safety Week and the Warren County Sheriff's Office wants to make sure parents in the county are buckling up their kids correctly.

The Sherriff's office is working with AAA Northway and North Country Ministries will conduct a child safety seat check on Wednesday.  From 1pm-5pm the at the Stewarts at the intersection of Main Street and Stewart Farrar Avenue in Warrensburg parents and caregivers are invited to the free safety seat check.

This past year there have been a number of child safety seat checks in and around the Capital Region with shocking numbers.  In June in Albany County, only five out of 100 seats were installed correctly and 18 were replaced due to age, recall or they were inappropriate for the child.
