IBC Booth Number: Hall 11, Booth 11.A69
AMSTERDAM, Sept. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SHOTOVER, the maker of high performance stabilization platforms for the motion picture and broadcast industries, announced today the launch of its new F1 gyro-stabilized camera system. Previewed in April at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, the ready-to-ship F1 brings unprecedented versatility to the aerial cinematography space, providing unshakeable stabilization in a lightweight package that enables operators to utilize multiple camera and lens combinations depending on their needs.
The SHOTOVER F1 builds upon the success of the company's flagship K1 platform, which has fast become an industry standard for big-budget Hollywood productions with credits including The Hangover Part III, X-Men: Days of Future Past, RoboCop and Transformers 4. The F1 incorporates the same 6-axis gyro-stabilized design in an ultra-light carbon fiber package designed for high-velocity cinematography. Multiple helicopter mounting options include the Airfilm AS350/355 Single Pole and the 206/206L/407 G1 Nose Mount. The F1 can also easily be used on cable and rail systems, automobiles, boats and almost anything that moves.
Developed by the most respected engineers, pilots, and cinematographers in the industry, the F1 sets a new standard for the world of aerial cinematography. Light enough to be transported as excess baggage on commercial flights, the F1 can be shipped worldwide with no export restrictions. The F1 is also the only gimbal of its size to allow operators in the field to switch between various cameras and lenses – ensuring they always get their shot.
F1 supported cameras include the Arri Alexa M, RED Epic and Dragon, Sony HDC 2500, Sony F55, Phantom Flex and Canon C500. Additionally, the system's open architecture makes it fully upgradeable, allowing additional cameras and lenses to be installed as new technology comes to market.
