Failure to stop at a stop sign leads to 6-car accident

MILTON, N.Y. – Police say six vehicles were involved in one accident after one of the operators failed to stop at a stop sign.

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office tells NEWS10 ABC they received a call about the accident on Goode Street at Dewer Road in the Town of Milton on Thursday around 7:20p.m.

After authorities investigated, they determined that Jerry Peat, 59, failed to stop at a stop sign.  Peat was ticketed for the traffic violation. 

The 32-year-old driver and 36-year-old passenger, of the second vehicle involved in the accident were both taken to Saratoga Hospital for serious injuries. Peat was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

The three other drivers involved in the accident were not injured.
